Waiting for Love

We can envy others who have someone to love
But what we have is better because our love comes from up above

We may not have someone to physically hold
But we have God who will never leave us alone

Many times at night I wonder, when that day will be
When I will have somebody to make me happy

In the meantime I’ll just wait, sit and contemplate
Of how this love will be, so precious and great

So don’t envy those who has someone now
Our day will come, someday, somehow…

Alone

From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

Wondering

I wonder if you think of me
When night is drawing near.
And in the shadows of your room
The walls around you disappear.
I wonder if in your quiet thoughts
Your dreams of me are anymore.
When in the silent, velvet blue
The moon is tapping at your door.
I wonder if the shining stars
That dangle from the clouds above
Reminds you of my whispered words
In promise of eternal love.
I wonder of the lonely light
That breaks upon the early dawn
Still holds a tender memory for now
So long I have been gone.
I wonder if you dream of me
When the cloudless skies are blue
Because across each day and night
My thoughts are constantly of you.

Always and Forever

When nothing makes sense
and every thought is blurred
love finds its way and somehow I understand.
I know why it is and what must be.
No matter what arises or what happens
love will always find its way and

lead us to our place, our fairytale.
when you look into my eyes,
you view my soul
and see the love I have to give.
It is everything I am.
And because of it
I will always love you
for you have given it to me
in a world full of despair.
You've given me hope,a dream,
a desire for something more, something better.
For this you will always be special.
I love you more than anyone will ever know.
If there was a word to describe my love
surely it would only be spoken by god,
for no person could love you more than me.
In my heart I carry you
and the essence of love in its pure and simple form.
All I have to offer you is me and my love.
Though both are simple
I promise they are true.
Even as I write this
I think of how to describe to you
something I hardly understand.
But I must tell you how I feel.
So I close my eyes and let my heart guide my hand.
Perhaps the tears that fall from my eyes
will show you my love
and how much it means to me.
To me our love is everything.
I believe love will find its way
and show us the answers
to the questions being revealed.
I promise you that I will always love you
and I will never hurt you.
I know you love me,
I can see it in your eyes
and feel it in your touch.
I promise I will never forget it.
For out of everything in my life.

I have earned and acquire,
your love is my most valuable possession.
And the memories I have with it
will always be my fondest.
Life is truly a mystery,
a puzzle waiting to be solved.
Although one might be able to solve it alone,
the answer will be found easier
with another.
I want to discover life with you baby.
And experience all of life's mysteries
together in your embrace.
I love you...

Always and forever...

The Night Has A Thousand Eyes

The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of a bright world dies
When day is done.

The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one;
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done.

Funeral Blues

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let airplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message I am Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

The Shadows

You see them everyday,
The Shadows that have substance.

In silence they stride,
For fear of the light of cruelty.

With the softest whispers they speak,
So that their words won't draw light to them.

Everyday you see The Shadows,
But your eyes never truly seeing.

The illusion of your eyes betray you,
For you see The Shadows as needing destroyed.

You only see them for what you think they represent,
Your demise, your opposite, your evil...your wish.

But worry not, The Shadows seek not destruction,
Their own survival guides them indisputably.

For they are elusive creatures,
Avoiding the light that has already destroyed you

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons
and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds

At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise. .................

A Dream Within A Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

My Light

My Light doesn't always shine brightly,
Like a candle in a tempest it flickers.

Akin to an inferno My Light can burn me,
But it chooses to cauterize my wounds instead.

As the darkness appears to meld to my flesh,
My Light show me that the darkness and I are separate.

When I wind through the darkness of my mind
attempting to escape,
My Light keeps the shadows at bay.

Like the sun itself My Light is always there,
Guiding me from becoming lost.

Should anything threaten My Light's like,
I shall defend it with my life.

For My Light means everything to me,
Without Her I would die.

I Do Not Love You Except Because I Love You

I do not love you except because I love you;
I go from loving to not loving you,
From waiting to not waiting for you
My heart moves from cold to fire.

I love you only because it's you the one I love;
I hate you deeply, and hating you
Bend to you, and the measure of my changing love for you
Is that I do not see you but love you blindly.

Maybe January light will consume
My heart with its cruel
Ray, stealing my key to true calm.

In this part of the story I am the one who
Dies, the only one, and I will die of love because I love you,
Because I love you, Love, in fire and blood.

Phenomenal Woman

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Law,Like Love

Law, say the gardeners, is the sun,
Law is the one
All gardeners obey
To-morrow, yesterday, to-day.

Law is the wisdom of the old,
The impotent grandfathers feebly scold;
The grandchildren put out a treble tongue,
Law is the senses of the young.

Law, says the priest with a priestly look,
Expounding to an unpriestly people,
Law is the words in my priestly book,
Law is my pulpit and my steeple.

Law, says the judge as he looks down his nose,
Speaking clearly and most severely,
Law is as I've told you before,
Law is as you know I suppose,
Law is but let me explain it once more,
Law is The Law.

Yet law-abiding scholars write:
Law is neither wrong nor right,
Law is only crimes
Punished by places and by times,
Law is the clothes men wear
Anytime, anywhere,
Law is Good morning and Good night.

Others say, Law is our Fate;
Others say, Law is our State;
Others say, others say
Law is no more,
Law has gone away.

And always the loud angry crowd,
Very angry and very loud,
Law is We,
And always the soft idiot softly Me.

If we, dear, know we know no more
Than they about the Law,
If I no more than you
Know what we should and should not do
Except that all agree
Gladly or miserably
That the Law is
And that all know this
If therefore thinking it absurd
To identify Law with some other word,
Unlike so many men
I cannot say Law is again,

No more than they can we suppress
The universal wish to guess
Or slip out of our own position
Into an unconcerned condition.
Although I can at least confine
Your vanity and mine
To stating timidly
A timid similarity,
We shall boast anyvay:
Like love I say.

Like love we don't know where or why,
Like love we can't compel or fly,
Like love we often weep,
Like love we seldom keep.

WH Auden

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

Me, Myself and I

Coming out of the shadows
of the past and reaching
to the light that is now
shining in its glory
I realized I am standing all alone,
with the whole world at my disposal;

I searched, I needed somebody
to continue the exploration,
or so I thought; how
naive and so dumb one can become;

Wasting precious time
doing nothing other
than wandering through life
I became more confused than before;

unable to run anymore,
I sat down to take stock
and I realized I got
Me, Myself and I;

learned a lot along the way,
and now my very own best friend
exploring uncharted territories
Me Myself and I

that’s all I got in the end
that’s what I found out
Me, Myself and I;

Lonely Me...

I stand alone on silent nights,
my scares of feelings dawn new light.
I cannot reap a soul nor weep,
and at night I cannot sleep.
For the demons wake in silent beds,
to pull all my fears and dread.
I must stay on my chosen path;
hope to outrun their gentle wraith.
I cannot stop 'til peace has shone,
but then I fear I am all alone.
Like a candle I flicker light,
shedding tears and shedding fright.
The people cling with all their might,
to hold to my dieing light.
My fears and dreams came close to thee,
stop what's right for me.
All but your presence is unknown,
how can I make all seem alone?
It brings so much strength to stop these tears;
Yet somehow your touch will wash my fears.......

Emptiness

Just a hollow feeling
my mask on the seat next to mine
worn out, beaten and battered
it had come to an end;

Just as smoothly as it started
the end was a quick one,
no nonsense, no stupid climax
the curtain came down in one swift motion;

Standing tall amidst broken lives
no one cares if you stay back
to pick up the pieces
or make a run to the nearest exit;

Full of anger and full of fear,
wanting to wreck the peace
my mind is seeking,
I gradually lost it all;

Running away from death
and escaping from the mind games,
seeking refuge from the storm
I rushed headlong into life; Searching for a place to hide,
watching people trade money for love,
I began to fill the emptiness that surrounds me
with the pieces of my broken heart..........

The Rules for being Human

YOU WILL RECEIVE A BODY
You may like it or hate it but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.

YOU WILL LEARN LESSONS
You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant or stupid

THERE ARE NO MISTAKES, ONLY LESSONS
Growth is a process of trial and error: experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately "works".

A LESSON IS REPEATED UNTIL LEARNED
A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can then go to the next lesson.

LEARNING LESSONS DOES NOT END.
There is no part of life that does not contain its lesson. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.

"THERE" IS NO BETTER THAN "HERE"
When your "there" has become a "here" you will simply obtain another "there" that will, again, look better than "here."

OTHERS ARE MERELY MIRRORS OF YOU
You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate in yourself.

WHAT YOU MAKE OF YOUR LIFE IS UP TO YOU
You have all the tools and resources you need, what you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

YOUR ANSWERS LIE INSIDE YOU
The answers to life's questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

BE THANKFUL

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

Allow Your Own Inner Light to Guide You

There comes a time when you must stand alone.

You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow

your own dreams.

You must be willing to make sacrifices.

You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities

so that your final goal can be achieved.

Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged.

There are times when you must take a few extra chances

and create your own realities.

Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.

Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise

just to get by.

Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow,

develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.

Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight

that should lead the way.

Work hard at what you like to do and try to overcome all obstacles

Laugh at your mistakes and praise yourself for learning from them

Pick some flowers and appreciate the beauty of nature

Say hello to strangers and enjoy the people you know

Don't be afraid to show your emotions, laughing and

crying make you feel better

Love your friends and family with your entire being they are the

most important part of your life

Feel the calmness on a quiet sunny day and
find a rainbow

And live your world of dreams

Always remember .............
Life is better than it seems.....

FOOTPRINTS.......

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. he noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that at the worst times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. How could you leave me when I needed you the most?"

The Lord replied " My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of suffering and when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

ALWAYS REMEMBER.............

Your presence is a present to the world.
You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You'll make it through whatever comes along.

Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot . . . goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people . . . together.
Realize that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have health and hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget . . .
For even a day . . .
How very special You are.
