Is the only one I'll take

So don't leave me shaking

Thinking this is all fake

I know what I don't have

Thats what kills

I was too damn stupid before

Like I was on pills

Those all months

Flew by too fast

I wanted it

To forever last

To see you now

As you softly laugh

Makes me not see

Where leads this path

You were Once

I once loved you so much
And for so long.
Why did you leave
When I did nothing wrong?

Your smile was once the sun
On a dark, rainy day.
It would clear up the sky
And keep it from being gray.

Your eyes were once the shine
Of the world's glowing light.
Or were they the twinkling stars
That once filled the night?

Your hands once had power
To give me the softest touch.
They'd always give me a slight tingle,
Which is why I loved them so much.

Your hugs were once the medicine
That'd change a frown to cheer.
A shiver would run through my body
Every time I feel your love near.

Your kisses were once the wind,
They were fresh and breezy against my face.
They were gentle, so gentle,
It's something no one will replace.

But, now you like someone else,
And it's driving me insane.
Although it's over for us,
The love we had still remains.

And so I tell myself...
Never again will I cry.
You were once everything to me,
That I can't deny.

But I couldn't keep my promise
And broke out in tears.
The hours I've cried feel like days,
The days feel like years.

As I bury my face in the pillow,
And cry my heart out and grieve,
I've learned to never give away love
If love I don't receive.

Better than all the other guys

Remember when you got the courage

And you asked me out at the dance

Remember when we were really close

We'd always be holding hands

Remember when you said I was an angel

As you held me in your arms so tight

Every feeling, every thought

Everything felt so right

Remember when you used to kiss me on the cheek

And check off another goal on my list every week

Remember when everyone wished they could see the love we see

Remember when they were all jealous of you and me

Our one-month mark

Paradise took us away

Out of the dark

And I'd do anything for you just 'cause I was your girl

Remember when you said I was your best friend

We promised each other our friendship will never end

The day you broke my heart

You used to tell me anything and you said you'd never lie

We found joy in each other

After all this time

Why do you still live in my heart?

I still see your face

Then all the memories resurface

And my heart starts to race.

I still see those beautiful eyes

That use to hypnotize me

So full of love and desire

If only you could have seen.

I still see that gorgeous smile

That lights up the world

It was one of a kind

That made my emotions twirl.

I still feel your sweet kisses

And the joy they would bring

The little things that you did

Truly made me feel like a queen.

But now it's all over

And these things still remain

I'm wondering if I'll get over you

Or will it just drive me insane!

Your smile awakens my soul,

As the sun awakens the day.

A kiss and my life is yours,

It seems a fair price to pay.

Your touch arouses my senses,

As the moon arouses the night.

Hold me and win me forever,

In your arms all things are right.

Your heart endures all emotion,

As the sky endures all the stars.

Love me and we'll have eternity,
